This land is my land blog 2/7/13
In the song This Land is my Land Woody Guthrie is describing a land which he says "belongs to you and me". In the last fiew lines he sees a sign that says no tresspassing but he indirectly says that he doesn't agree with the sign by saying "But on the other side it didn't say nothing, That side was made for you and me". This quote along with his change in tone of the last three stanzas show that his main purpose is found here. Upon futher reiveiw we can see that he is against the materialistic and possesive nature people are adopting. His view is that if people claim the land as their property it leaves others "Hungry" and wondering if "
